Scholarship Program

It all begins at St Peter’s…

The St Peter’s Anglican College scholarship program exists to foster equity of access by ensuring that an education at our school is available to as wide a range of students as possible. We want to recognise potential and reward achievement.

St Peter’s is committed to providing a well-rounded education: academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. We value student excellence, and our scholarship program seeks to offer places to students who will contribute to the richness and diversity of the St Peter’s community.

Opportunity and access

We strive to recognise students for their innate personal qualities and achievements across a range of fields. Offering a range of scholarships and bursaries allows us to give the opportunity of a St Peter’s education to students who may not otherwise be able to attend the College.

All scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Principal. The duration of individual scholarships varies from two years to six years. Scholarships are usually awarded in the year prior to commencement. For example, applications are made in 2023, scholarships are awarded in 2023 and the student commences in the next academic year in 2024.

Scholarship Requirements and Expectations

A St Peter’s Anglican College Scholarship student will demonstrate outstanding personal values, leadership potential, engagement in learning and a commitment to inclusivity and social justice. They will be willing to make a contribution to the life of the College and to meet a number of agreed expectations if they are to continue to receive the award. Further criteria can be found here.

All Scholarships are reviewed annually.

The Scholarship Process

  1. Applications are made online on the Scholarship Program Application page.
  2. To complete the application form, applicants must include their most recent school report and complete a covering letter of application of approximately 250 words (written by the student).
  3. After receipt of applications, applicants will be shortlisted, interviewed, trialled or auditioned (in the case of Sport, Performing Arts, or Music) and successful applicants will be offered a place.
