St Peter’s Anglican College Parents and Friends (P&F) Welcome to 2023
First meeting – Thursday, 2 February 2023 commencing at 6.30pm – all welcome
At the St Peter’s Parents and Friends AGM in 2022, Carl Ginger was re-elected as President. Carl moved to Malua Bay from Sydney about eight years ago and has appreciated the opportunity to contribute to the College and the wider community. He currently serves as the Divisional Manager, Recreation Services with the Eurobodalla Shire Council.
Carl has two boys at St Peter’s: Brendan in Year 11 and Aiden in Year 9, both of whom value its educational opportunities, teachers and staff, the great facilities and the selection of extracurricular activities.
Carl’s interests include sustainable community development in developing countries and he serves on several NGO boards. He is actively involved in school and farm projects in Cambodia, Thailand, The Philippines and The Solomon Islands. He is the Chair of Projects of Promise which operates in these countries.
Carl’s P&F vision for 2023 is to build on the foundation established in 2022, post COVID-19. The leadership team is keen to work closely with the College Principal in providing support where ever possible. Apart from fundraising, the P&F will focus on creating special memories such as celebrating Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day.
Carl is keen for more parents to get involved and be part of the vital role that parents play in the school life of their children. There are seven meetings planned for 2023 along with a number of other activities. If you would like to get involved and contribute your ideas at the meetings, or help out at events, please contact Carl at email@example.com
Our first meeting will be held in the College Library next Thursday, 2 February 2023 commencing at 6.30pm and you are very much welcome to attend.
Finally, a big thanks to Tess Snowball (former Secretary) and Kiralie McMinn (former Treasurer) for bringing us through 2022. We welcome James Kostov (Vice President), Val Mann (Secretary), Melissa Van Weerdenburg (Treasurer) and Simone de Winter (Events Coordinator) in taking up the challenge for 2023.
On behalf of the P&F, Carl would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year in 2023.
