St Peter's News

Twenty-four hours, non-stop French speaking, music, film, games, cooking, eating French cuisine and meeting people from far away. No, the Stage 6 French students did not have a whirl-wind trip to France! Nowra was the venue for their French immersion weekend, as well as Culburra Beach near Jervis Bay.

Students joined up with others from Illawarra Christian College, as well as Nowra High School, to immerse themselves in French language and culture while having as much fun as possible. They were amazingly successful at communicating only in French for the entire camp and even found they could use the super tricky “subjunctive mood” in real life conversations!

With raclette for dinner, Les Gourmandises croissants and pains au chocolat for breakfast, as well as the film “Tais-Toi” starring Gerard Depardieu plus the chance to experience a trial run of the Conversation exam just in time for the HSC August 23, it was a “formidable” experience for our students.
