At St. Peter’s, Year Five is working hard towards getting chickens for the school. At the moment we are researching what sort of chickens we should get and their needs, and then we will record it in an information report. We are doing this stage so that we will know which chicken is best for our environment and area. Once we have finished our information reports we will move on to the next stage which is designing our chicken coops. First on paper, then with wood in the woodwork room! Our designs will be judged by council and the winner will get theirs built! Of course this will be a lot of work but we have help from these people: [and many thanks to them] school parents, senior school students, Bunnings, and poultry experts who will be working with us along this exciting journey to getting chickens!
