Chocolate Bûche de Noël instead of fruit cake and getting presents early were just a couple of the advantages of celebrating Christmas the French way that students have been learning this past week in French. Students in the Junior and Senior School have been enjoying comparing and contrasting how people celebrate Christmas in France and in Australia. They were especially happy that we no longer have a companion of Santa here who punishes the naughty list children as is still traditional in France and other European countries. Decorating the tree and classroom is done in both countries, and it was the Year 8s who did this in the French Room. Pictures show students with their Yule Log cake, making Christmas cards competing in quizzes and treasure hunts all about Noël . Merry Christmas and Joyeux Noël à tous!
